55 refugees intercepted, arrested and handed over to Provincial Immigration Administration in Kuşadası

  Early in the morning, 55 refugees attempting to cross from Kuşadası to Samos (GR) were intercepted by Coast Guard authorities. Demographic characteristics of the migrants: 33 Syrians, 10 Afghans, 6 Malian, 3 Iraqis, 1 Angolan, 1 Ghanian (33 men, 10 women, 12 children). Refugees were temporarily arrested and handed over to the Provincial Immigration Administration.
