17 refugees arrested by Coast Guard, sent to return centre after being processed

  The Turkish Coast Guard has made a statement indicating that, while on patrol near Ayvacik, the TCSG 28 patrol boat intercepted a fiber boat containing 17 refugees seeking to make their way to the Greek island of Lesbos. Nationalities included: Afghanistan, Mali, Iran, Iraq and Congo. Women and children were present. Turkish CG has indicated that the migrants have been sent to a return centre.
