Solidarity Party Against Racism: 11th of March @ Muaf Beyoğlu

Mutfak and GDA-Istanbul are looking forward to seeing you at our Solidarity Party Against Racism!

Under the everlasting state of emergency and restrictive policies we are all criminalized and isolated. From the fences along the Balkan route to the 500km wall being built in the south east of Turkey. Borders have been erected both around and between us. Let's break them!

Let's get together once more, get to know each other, and celebrate Mutfak's 5th birthday. Let's dance! Let's laugh! Let’s unite in our #commonstruggle against growing racism and fascism. Let's take this chance to make a place and a time ours, and see that it is possible even during a time when we are more and more segregated. Musicians from different corners of the globe will set the mood with jazzy grooves, traditional African rhythms, Kurdish melodies...and much more.

Short announcement! As the infamous EU-Turkey deal celebrates one year of implementation on the 18th of March, there is an international call for action (see https://18m.commonstruggle.eu/calls/ ). And this party will be the start of the week of action in Istanbul! More info will follow very soon, keep an eye to the event page ;)
