182 refugees and 6 smugglers arrested by gendarmerie in Izmir, brought to Provincial Immigration Administration

İzmir Provincial Gendarmerie Headquarters Fight Against Smuggling and Organized Crimes and Intelligence Branch Directorate and county gendarmerie commanding officers last Friday organized an operation in Bornova, Urla for human traffickers. In the operation, six people were arrested who claimed to have escaped from the civil war in Syria and took refuge in Turkey, and who wanted to go abroad by illegal means, including refugees from Somalia and Afghanistan. A total of 182 refugees, including women and children, were handed over to the authorities of the Provincial Immigration Administration.
