ISTANBUL Bar Association: Refugee children face discrimination

ISTANBUL Bar Association Children's Rights Center Vice-President Lawyer Ayşenur Demirkale suggested that in practice, discrimination is for children who live in refugee status or in certain areas, even if each child has equal rights in front of the law. Demirkale recalled that family physicians, guidance counselors, psychologists or lawyers who knew or heard of violence and child abuse of women have a legal obligation to report them.
